Niche of The Week: Nigel Thornberry

‘Niche of The Week’ is the regular column all about my random and somewhat dubious fashion ‘icon’ of the week.

I love to dress to a theme – many of my friends will testify to the fact that I love a costume party having hosted many soirées with a clothing code. Some of which are too controversial to note down on the World Wide Web.

So each week I will bring you my obsession of the week and we kick-start with none other than my 10 year-old clothing crush, Nigel Thornberry from the aptly named, The Wild Thornberry’s.

What’s not to love about a strong tash (which alas I can’t grow) and a camel co-ord? Whilst Nigel has devoted his entire life to tracking down the wildest of animals I have given my life over to more frivolous pursuits, namely finding the perfect said co-coordinating camel concoction.

Step forward my favoruite menswear brand, 3.1 Phillip Lim with all the oversized camel action a boy could wish for. My crotch was thrilled to ditch the usual go-to skinny jeans and be (re) born free in drop crotch trousers with a paper bag gathered waist.

The best way to deal with these new oversized proportions is to give the co-ord some construction with a fitted roll neck and heavy-duty boots for foundations.
